Explanation / Answer

An example of situational phobia is claustrophobia. Claustrophobia can be described as the fear of being enclosed in a small space or room and unable to escape.
Claustrophobia can lead to panic attacks. My mother has been claustrophobic for years and she experiences intense anxiety and sometimes panic attacks in situations such as when she is locked in a windowless room, taking a long journey on a plane, is stuck in a crowded elevator, or driving on a congested highway.
