1) Legal rights of mentally ill children and their right to land and property ownership is an important issue in society. These children can be easily challenged that they are incapable of holding power and authority in the family and household. The power and rights should be given to someone in the family who is strong and has the confidence to handle tough and harsh situations in life.McCormick said in 1976, laws which are deficient in providing opportunities to these mentally ill children are themselves weak and should not be implemented for the welfare of the society. It is the personal responsibility of parents to believe in maintaining the mental strength of their children if they are mentally ill.
2)Law that is outdated and needs amendments is abortion law in the society. Supreme court in USA has given a ruling declaring that is not unconstitutional to abort a fetus if there is a chance that it can affect her health or if it declared by a doctor that the fetus is not viable. Women should be provided appropriate nutrients to maintain health standards during pregnancy. It is the Roe Vs Wade reproductive rights case in New York, USA. It was last amended and modified in 1970 in USA court.Women were provided appropriate healthcare and facilities during pregnancy with lack of adequate diet and nutrition.
3)Distributive justice includes the allocation of scarce resources for the benefit of people in society. It includes discussion about the allotment of resources to organisations and companies for their benefit and proper running with infrastructure and development. It is allocated based on several factors like compensation, equality, need and contribution. The work schedule of social workers can be divided into multiples of time so that equal concern can be shown to every client and understand their needs and requirements. It affects a person as a social worker.
4)An example present today of a person who fights for legal rights is Malala Yousafzai. She fought for the right of poor girls for education against the attack of terrorist group Taliban in Pakistan. She was shot in the head by this terrorist group but survived and is now an active supported of education for poor girls in pakistan.
5)Principle of distributive justice is mentioned in the Rawl's Principle of Strict Egalitarianism. It advocates the provision of equal materials to all members of the society. Difference principle states about a situation in which the least advantaged in the society is better than the situation maintained under strict equality. There is role of luck and destiny in designing the materials and resources provided during distribution but there is also an important role of a feature which includes providing resources and materials according to the work performed and merit in the society based on values.
There are various legal rights which can be studied and analysed in detail like primary and remedial rights, conditional rights, property rights, subjective rights and conferring legal rights. Remedial rights are important if someone is injured due to the mistake of other person in society then it is the sole responsibility to pay the injured person. Conditional rights are based on verdicts that property will be declared under the nominee of a person provided he has the capability to deserve if it till he reaches the age of 21 years and his predecessor dies leaving him behind to control authority. Conferring of rights is the administration of laws under the rule and authority of the senior and based on his discretion.
