Question
One caveat: let's look at this question from the perspective of an animal that wants to break down the nutrients from the banana vs. the steak. Digestion of the banana's main components (glucose, fructose, some sucrose) requires how much water (used in the chemical process of digestion) vs. a steak's main components' (proteins & lipids) water requirements for digestion down to amino acids?
The process of dehydration synthesis involves the removal of a water molecule from two amino acids as the net result of the formation of a peptide bond. Similarly, in the formation of sucrose, dehydration synthesis involves the net removal of a water molecule in the formation of the glycosidic bond between a glucose molecule & a fructose. In THAT context, which meal would make you thirstier & why?
A short response will do.

Explanation / Answer
We feel more thirsty after eating steak than that of banana because the amount of protein in steak is more than that of banana,. We require more water.COmplex carbs requires long time for digestion proteins and fats require even more time ,protein digestion starts only after the food reaches the stomach where gastric juice acts on them to break the peptide bonds to form individual amino acids, amino acids are then absorbed in to the blood stream. The amount of water required depends on the quantity we are consuming, for the breakdown of protein in to amino acids it requires water for digestion of proteins.
