Yes, it gives an ethos americans do follow certain cultures and certain procedures in doing things in their own way, they do have certain manifested attitudes and aspirations in certain things.Yes, they do get guidance on how to act and how to react according to the situations. They follow unity in diversity and their federal government tries to treat everyone equally when consideration of their religion.
