10. Immunoglobulin class switching is also known as class switch recombination (CSR). It changes B cells production of antibodies from one type to the another type i.e IgM to the isotope IgG. During this process the heavy chain is changed at the constant region portion of the antibody.But at the variable region of the heavy chain stays same. Though, the variable region does not change, class switching does not affect antigen specificity.
