7. a. Marijuana is addictive. It has been a great long debate regarding the topic whether it is or not, but it is physiologically and pharmacologically addictive accompanied with withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
b. Marijuana has a lot of negative and positive effects. It causes increase in I.O.P. , dryness of mouth, excitement, euphoria, relief in nausea, spasticity, increase heart rate, relax muscles and has hot and cool sensation on skin.
c. With increasing studies and success rates, marijuana has found effects in decreasing opiod dependency and addiction of the country. Along with it it has successfully reviews for diseases like glaucoma and joint related disorders .With these effects, however negative effects are also accompanied. Thus, marijuana should be legalized but only on special grounds and recommendations and strict supervision.
8. a. A quitter will go through the following five stages-
b. Change is important. One changes by keeping confidence and checking upon. You need to distract yourself, have patience, quit upon habits and stay calm and console.
c. Smoking is not what we think of it. It doesn't helps us. It just shuts up the nicotine receptors which always cry for more. We are fulfilling the demands of those receptors compromising for ours. It's not that we are addicted to smoking. We are addicted to nicotine that simply harms. Thus we should quit.
d. There are various treatment and strategies to help quit smoking. The most important being counselling that relieves us from stress and naturally declines the requirement. Ither than that are nicotine chewing gums with dose tapering and other drugs available. Ither than this try keeping hands busy. One can themselves design the treatment way by using patches, gums lozenges and inhalers.
e. When you quit you always feel phases of ups and downs. There are phases of cravings, headache, and nervousness and other symptoms. At that time you might feel more hungry too but all you need to do is have patience.
