If a department needed to update its data after submitting the spreadsheet to the main office, the analyst had to return the original spreadsheet, then wait for the department to re-submit its data before finally submitting the updated data in the consolidated document.

This situations creates the hindrance in the business daily operations, the efficiency of business is adversely effected due to the difficulty being faced by the financial department of the organization, the whole system is dependent on one or two here only one good individuals, this is even very time consuming process and makes the decision making process much slower. There is lack of security as documents can be easily misplaced or be mixed with each other. The duplication of data entry is one of the biggest threats which is faced in these situations. The decision making process suffers a lot because any manager or any executive who has to review or to make any decision has to go through a number of pages to even make simplest of decision, and if by chance any error or omission occurred the analyst has to revise the paper and presentation from the very beginning which is a time consuming task, these type of documentations are very difficult to collaborate with each other, if a department needs to review their reports then multiple copies have to printed out which is a hectic job to take care and perform.
