Question

Use SPSS to answer the research question. Post your response to the following: What is your research question? What is the null hypothesis for your question? What research design would align with this question? What dependent variable was used and how is it measured? What independent variable is used and how is it measured? What other variables were added to the multiple regression models as controls? What is the justification for adding the variables? If you found significance, what is the strength of the effect? Explain your results for a lay audience, explain what the answer to your research question.

Explanation / Answer

Research question: is the working hours of an individual related to their income?

null hypothesis: Ho: there is no significant relationship between number of working hours with the income of an individual

Alternate hypothesis: H1: there is significant relationhsip between  number of working hours with the income of an individual

Occupational prestige score is the dependent variable and number of working hours is the Independent variable

From the anova table results, we can infer that there is no significant relationship between the variables

Since the signnificance value is more than 0.05, it is not significant. thus the hypothesis stating that there is no significant relationship between number of working hours with the income of an individual is accepted. Thus there is no association between the chosen variables.
