Bullying: It is an act done by a person to hurt or humiliate the other person, verbally(i.e., through words) or non verbally(i.e., through actions).
why do kids bully other kids?
kids can bully other kids for ample of reasons : some of them are as follows :-
1. Family Surroundings : As family is the first learning place for a child. if the atmosphere is disrespectfull, ill mannered then child will definately learn to not respect the other person. These early teachings effect the child very much.
2. Personality issues : many personality traits such as high anxiety levels,low self esteem, authoritarian personality etc may be a reason of this behaviour. For example if authoritarian person will be given too much responsibilities, he or she can start bullying other child to show power.
3. Frustrations :Normally kids do not know how to manage their frustrations. In the absence of any proper guidence they can go in wrong directions and take out their frustrations by bullying others.
4. Peer Pressure : this is a very strong reason for this type of behaviour.
5. To gain popularity : Bullying seems to be a shortcut to children who has low achedamic achievment. They think that this is the only way of being popular.
6. Revange : When a child gets bullied by others then he also expresses his anger or revenge by repeating the same behaviour.
how do kids feel when they are being bullied?
Bullying should never be a part of growing years of a kid as it harasses him or her in many ways :-
1 Physically 2 Mentally
1 Physically : Many physicall issues may arise because of being bullied.
2 Mentally : It hurts a kid more on mental or emotional level
It also effects the educational level of kids. s/he may get lower grades and even think of dropping out of the school.
