Explanation / Answer
This is a question which requires us to elucidate the key tenets of leadership philosophies which can be used to drive not only people, but an organization as a whole.
Let us see how we can frame the leadership philosophy statement given this question.
Personal Values & Beliefs: These are the most important aspects of any influential leader which influence leadership styles strongly. Personal values and beliefs which influence my leadership style would be:
Steve Jobs would be a leader who has influenced part of the development of these beliefs and tenets which I believe are crucial for a leader to develop. His drive to always stay hungry and stay foolish, his unrelenting passion for excellence, his love for healthy competition, all of them ensured that Apple became one of the world's best companies and also one of the most successful ones in recent times. He has been a great leader who has led to the development of most of the above values.
Expectations of self are only that I always stand by my values, irrespective of whether my organization is with me or not. Sometimes, people tend to forget what they stand for if they go through a tough time, either at work or personally. I believe that I expect myself to never compromise on the values that I stand for.
Expectations from others are only that they love coming to work every single day, that is all! People should firmly do what they enjoy doing for a career, and should never do anything out of obligation or out of fear - it isn't healthy, both for themselves and the organization.
Leadership style/tactics should be very simple - you should never force your methods on anyone. You should lead by example, be connected at every level of the organization, and you should encourage people to think and be free. You should encourage people to do what is right. This takes care of a lot of things that an organization needs, and also automatically makes you a great leader!
