Mentor is the experienced person in that particular field that helps individuals and guide them in their pursuit of success. Here, the mentor already knows the problems, pros and cons of different methods to solve the problem and the patience & grit required to solve the problem. Besides, the mentor keeps motivating the mentee when the mentee is getting discouraged due to inability to solve the problem. A mentor can help me in preparing the resume according to the job requirements, can tell me my weaknesses and strengths and guide in interview preparations. Besides, a mentor can also introduce me to his professional network and offer me references. It will create new job opportunities and I can capitalize on it and get a job. So, a mentor can assist me to become successful in the job search.

One example of professional network can be taken of the LinkedIn that is a professional network for different domains. Though, it is wide network and exclusive services promise many benefits such as endorsements, job search as well as recruitment to its members.

It is the functional type of resume that will work best in the given scenario, because this type of resume, focuses upon the key skills owned by the candidate and the overall experience possessed by the candidate to deliver the job proficiently. These aspects are what, required by the recruiters and are highlighted by the resume about a candidate. So, it helps the candidates convince the recruiters and get the job.
