It is hard these days to watch the news without some report about illegal immigration or illegal immigrants. Everyone has an opinion on the subject but few take the time to learn more about illegal immigration. For this assignment, you will choose a side on the debate and do a little research about it (always start with the text and then go to the Internet and search academic sources, in other words NOT Wikipedia or similar sites – sites from non-profit, bi-partisan, government agencies are fine). Write a paper supporting one of the sides of illegal immigration.

Illegal immigration or immigrants are the most commonly discussed topic in many of the countries especially in the USA. Illegal immigrants are the ones who enter a different country without any legal law’s consensus and try to stay back in the country. This is the violation of the law and it is illegal and if anyone found who is illegal they are bound to be prisoned. Illegal immigration is not good for any country. There are chances that people can enter to any country as an illegal immigrant and can cause damage to the country’s public or can cause damage to the whole nation. Illegal immigrants are most commonly found in rich countries. This can also create many problems like unfair competition for jobs, draining of public funds and making money without paying any tax to the government and many more.

Illegal immigration is one of the hottest topics in any of the political parties in the country. Illegal immigration is never an advantage to the country and there had been many scenario’s we have ready and experienced the damages caused by the illegal immigrants. Illegal immigration can cause impact to the macro-economic, micro-economic and social implications to the society. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion without looking at the facts about illegal immigrants. There are 2 faces of illegal immigration 1) There have been a number of people who are exposed to many of the illegal activities and 2) There are many individuals who are just seeking the job to feed their families. What happens is when the immigrants does not get the job to feed their people they shall start doing unethical activities which are against to the law. President Barack Obama the one who granted future citizenship for many has acknowledged that some societal problems are created by illegal immigrants. He also mentions that there are around 11 million immigrants in the United States of America. Since there are too many undocumented immigrants, there has been no respect for people who are trying to come legally inside the country.

Base on the figures provided by Government Accountability office (GAO) study, there were around 493,673 illegal immigrants are involved in the crime activities. This does not mean that not all the illegal immigrants are culprits but there are many illegal immigrants are involved in the criminal activities. Around 165,000 immigrants are jailed for performing illegal activities between 2005 & 2008. Looking at all these reports and statistical data we can say that significantly there have been number of immigrants who are actually involved in criminal activities and may had been deported from the country for doing so. So, my stand here is, illegal immigrants are not good for the society. If somebody wants to enter any nation for work, let them enter legally take all the benefits and feed their family.
