In a company's structure, it falls under the HR department to be responsible for the training and the development of their workforce. For this process, they utilize different concepts which let them successfully continue this process.

Some of the techniques used for employee development are:-

INSTRUCTOR LED: In this mode of training the instructor takes the training module and present in the traditional sense of classroom programming even making the use of whiteboards and create an effective teaching environment for an employee to be trained efficiently and effectively.

INTERACTIVE: In this mode of training the employees can be trained through the use of demonstration and includes things such as quiz, flash cards and role-playing scenarios that can be utilized in conjunction for a more efficient teaching practice.

HANDS ON TRAINING: in this mode of training an employee is usually assigned a mentor which teaches them the ins and out of the everything. Usually, we call this an internship or an apprenticeship and veteran employees can serve as the role of coach.

COMPUTER-BASED: in this mode, the power of technology is employed. Softwares can be implemented which essentially performs the role of teachers in the classroom and train the employees about the working and the processes of any organization.

E-LEARNING: In this mode of learning, the concept of computer-based education is taken to another step which allows employees the access to the information that is required in their training to be obtained on a wider scale. This mode is more effective as it requires less utilization and requirement of separate computer systems and can be utilized anywhere.

Different types of on the job training techniques include.

MENTORSHIP: which means a veteran worker is assigned to help the new employee with the ins and outs of the company's dealings.

JOB ROTATION: Which means that no particular role is assigned to any new employee and with the rotation of roles, the working of a company can be understood and the roles can then be considered according to the skills of the employee.

WEEKLY COACHING SEMINARS: Coaching can also be conducted on the job for all the new employees till a point they understand their roles in the organization.

APPRENTICESHIP: works on the principle that veteran employees select new employees as an understudy and allow them to become their apprentice. This is more exclusive relationship than a mentorship.
