Question
MS Office Excel 2007 Files Save In "xlsx file", Not In xlsx Extension - MS Windows 7 OS
When I save the excel 2007 file its save in "xlsx file" not xlsx extension, so I cannot open the file by double clicking, always have to open excel first and then File --> Open only possible. Its same when I receive files from others.
For xlsx extension files default program is MS Excel only. I tried office diagnose and repair option, but it resulted no errors.
In windows explorer for excel 2003 files (xls) its shows in "type" column "Microsoft Office Excel 97-2003 Worksheet"
But for excel 2007 file in type column its shows "xlsx file", but in a normal working PC its "Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet"
Kindly help me to solve this issue. Cannot attach the screen shots hear.....
Thanks & Regards
