Can't edit Excel files with Office 365 iPhone app.

I signed up for the Education Trial of Office 365. I installed the Office 365 app on my iPhone. I saved several Excel files to my SkyDrive. I can OPEN the files using the Office 365 app on my iPhone, but I cannot EDIT them. When I try to edit a cell, it says "unable to edit workbook".

I thought I would be able to edit Excel, Word, PowerPoint documents using the Office #365 IOS app. If I cannott edit files and save them back to my SkyDrive, then Office 365 and the IOS app will not work for our school used.
