I began to have problems saving new or revised excel spreadsheets shortly after I installed Office365 on my new MacBook Pro and it is getting worse. When I try to save a new workssheet, it won't tsave and I geet a message that says the document name is too long. I then change the documentt name, sometimes even to one letter and get the same message.

I have tried taking an existing excel document in my filess and saving it to another folder without changing the name and get the same message. Can anyone advise??? Thank you!!.

Here are a few things to try:

Shut down your MacBook Pro and restartt.

Check to see if there are any special characterss in the names of the folders in the path from the hard drive down to the folders where you haave tried to save the file. Also, look for long names. If so, change the names.

Run the Disk Utility to repair permissionss.
