Question
In a managers’ meeting (that you are attending as a Subject Matter Expert(SME) for the Linux team) a dispute arises about the ability to recover from an unplanned outage and the restoration of services as quickly as possible. One manager is adamant about making sure that backups are adequately taken so that information can be restored. One manager is focused on Disaster Recovery plans and that a remote location should be available in case a weather-related event or lengthy power outage would cripple and/or destroy the data center. One manager is only concerned about business continuity and making sure that services are restored as quickly as possible. They ask you for your opinion on the subject. To prepare for such a scenario, answer the following questions:
1) What is the definition/description of a) Backup and Restoration, b) Disaster Recovery and c) Business Continuity?
