Referring to Figure 1, all the hosts on Ethernet-1 andEthernet-2 have a subnet mask 255.255.255.0. H1, H2, H3 haveIP addresses 10.0.0.10 - 10.0.0.12 respectively, and H4, H5,H6 have IP addresses 10.0.1.1 - 10.0.1.3 respectively.
Assuming that hosts H3 and H6 are accidentally assigned thesame MAC address (a mistake by the Ethernet cardmanufacturer), though each still has its unique IP address. Wouldthis error cause any problems when H3 and H6 try tocommunicate (a) with each other, and (b) with other hosts in thefigure? Please explain.

//Hopethis will help you.. //Don'tforget to rate it.. a) This will not cause any problem when H3 and H6 communicate.Since Ethernet-1 and Ethernet-2 are diffenet n/w seprated by routerso the Data link address will be changed when router will pass thepacket. hence no problem in communication. b) This will not cause any problem when other host communicatewith them. There will be two cases, when both host are on samen/w: In this case the packed will not be passedto other n/w hence will not cause any problem at all. when both host are on othern/w: Since a packet goes to other n/w , it willhave different mac address and having a unique IP, hence it willalso be no problem.
