Question

Billboards face a great deal of regulation and even outright hostility. Church groups in some urban areas have painted over alcohol billboards, and several clients at an ad agency I used to work for would never even consider billboards because they believed they made their brands look cheap. Groups like “Billboard Liberation” deface billboards to score political points against large advertisers. Take a position: Should billboard be regulated in terms of content and graphics? Share your perspective.

Explanation / Answer

I take the Side of Billboard Regulation. Yes, Indeed Billboards should be regulated. There should be a Board or a committee that should review the content and graphics of the Billboard and approve it before being installed.

Instead of local authority removing billboards because the ad in question is spoiling the view or posing a safety hazard or obscure, in the best interest it should be reviewed and censored as well.

Billboards, content and graphics should be reviewed and censored, as we cannot tier it as U or A, owing to the unavailability of restricting its view when placed in a Public place, it should always be U material as we do not want our kids to be spoiled because of the bad choice of the content. It should also be reviewed to ensure that it does not hurt any sentiments or beliefs or against any religion. People are predominantly not happy as the content and graphics are not appropriate or indeed hurt a belief or tend to spoil the harmony or thoughts of young minds.
