Question
Need a powerpoint presentation and short speech on Multimedia and Artificial intelligence. As computer scientists continue developing robots with more human-like traits, what impact will artificial intelligence have on the labor market? Today, robots are used for repetitive tasks such as work on assembly lines because they can perform tasks more quickly and accurately than humans. As artificial intelligence research continues, robots will be able to think, reason, and interact as people do. What responsibility do scientists have to the current workforce? if robots replace more and more humans, what will happen to the ability of people to remain employed and provide for themselves and their families? Is the advancement of society worth the human cost?
Explanation / Answer
Artificial intelligence will surely have some negative impact on the labor market. As the number of robots increases, the manual requirement will be reduced. As each robot performs multiple tasks and replaces large number of humans, in most of the situations, machines will be preferred than humans. It gradually decreases the demand for humans in the employment. As machines replace man power, the employment opportunities of people will be affected. Scientists should feel responsible while designing the machines so that they do not affect large number of humans. Though advancement of technology will have more benefits in regard with cost, time and effort, it should not be in a way to affect the human values and morals. Also people should improve their skills in a way to make employment according to the new improvements and requirements. That would somehow help to some extend in reducing the unemployment problem due to robots and machines. People should learn to work with machines and in such aspects.
