The name is very much popular and common in today's world started its operation in 1994 as an online bookseller is now the world's largest online retailer in terms of revenue and not only online books this organization has mastered in online sales of almost all commodities available and because of Amazon and few other organizations of this field the ecommerce revolution happened in most parts of the world. If we look into the business process of Amazon, it may look simple but in actual it is a very complex and critical task. Amazon has a wide range of products which are displayed to the users in their user interface, a particluar products will possess all the details regarding the product like price, color, brand, size, etc. Once a user orders a particular product, the order is received by Amazon and Amazon notifies the seller who will be providing the product to the customer. Hence Amazon directly does not sell any product instead, there are companies who are doing it on behalf of Amazon. for example Mr. X wants to buy a mobile phone from Amazon and orders the product, as soon as Amazon receives the order it notifies the actuall seller of the product which is a company A Enterprise, therefore the actual seller is A Enterprise and amazon is justa middle man. Being the middleman is not at all easy because it has to maintain the standard of the products delivered to the clients which is of primary importance in addition to various other parameters like delivery, quality of service, turn around time, quality of the product,etc.

As mentioned delivery is an important aspect of making this business successful, therefore the ecommerce sites rely a lot on the delivery aspect of the products because clients have various criteria of delivery. Some organizations possess in house delivery department and some bank on 3rd party providers. Amazon is a mix of both the two, it has an in house logistics department as well as third party providers. As quality of this service is primary importance Amazon has third party providers like FedEx,UPS,etc who are giants in this field.

FedEx corporation is one of the largest organizations in this field, the term FedEx is the abbreviation of Federal Express which started its operation from 1997 as FDX Corporation and becamse popular for its overnight shipping services which was very much rare then. After the acquisition of Caliber System in 1998 the company started providing other services except shipping, in early 2000 the the name was changed from FDX corporation to FedEx corporation, one of the most important updates that FedEx provided was the process of tracking packages in real time which improved the logistic business a lot and prevented loss and misplace of items.

The business process of FedEx is almost similar to that of other logistic companies, they all follow Supply Chain. Supply Chain is the process of flow of products or goods or information is delivered from the point of manufacture to the customer and it may include more than one business partners who are interconnected. It started by providing overnight shipping but has dynamically adapted itself to the requirements of the industry and today it provides airfreight services from Us to various other parts of the world like the Dominican Republic and even Caribbean Islands, It also provides services related to insurance and customs othere services and prodcuts inlude FedEx home delivery, FedEx post and many more.

FedEx Home delivery is one of the most pouplar products of FedEx in US, residential delivery of home packages is done through ground trucks and these trucks are very much easily available in US which is not at all unlikely here. The transportation methods of FedEx vary a lot and depend on the type of delivery required, there are ground trucks, semi trailer truck, airfreight, chartered aircrafts, etc

The analysis of the business model used by FedEx claims that it has evolved a lot according to the business requirements and has been successful in this business for quite a long time. The organization has clients who are giants in their field, Amazon being an instance. The transformation of FedEx made me chose this company because in any business dynamic attitude survives.
