One way to reduce the complexity of the change process is to reduce the number of change processes. Most organizations have an “engineering change process” which uses standardized forms. Other activities throughout the organization may have their own change process which may use one or more different forms and which may or may not be standardized.
Answer the following questions:
1. Do you think standardizing on one change process has the potential of actually improving overall performance? Explain.
2. Which change process has the most potential for becoming the standard and what types of improvements are needed for it to become the standard?
3. Do you think getting all parties to use one common change process will require a culture change and/or paradigm shifts? Explain

Answer:- In my opinion, the overall performance can be improved significantly with the help of one change process. The ability to change rapidly and better documentation without really requiring the recreation of prevailing change prices, standardization can be quite helpful. It will lay down the common processes and set of actions to all and these must be followed by every member of the organization. This will also eliminate the requirement of excessive monitoring during the implementation of change.
Answer:- As currently, I am working in the marketing and customer care department of the organization, thus I think the complaint redressal process has the most potential of converting into standardization as the type and nature of complaints are namely of same nature. In order to make it standardized process, first of all, the complaint register process has to be well defined. Providing the different types of options to the customers as per the products and the nature of defects. In fact, a dedicated customer service team can be formed having the Standards Operating Processes to operate with.
Answer:- Yes, in my opinion, an entire organizational culture change will be required if we want to get all parties to use one common change process. The main reason behind this is that employees must be habitual of performing in a certain pattern and if we want to implement new processes, a proper change management process has to be devised and these processes must be imparted to the manpower slowly which will result as new policies and procedures are laid down. Employees are communicated about these new policies and monitored on the execution of these policies. This will bring about the change in the culture necessary for the change process.
