Information system involves data input methods, processing logics and output methods etc. The main purpose of the information system is to provide the right information to the right people at the right time. Information system is one of the most important element of conducting business today. For many enterprises such as banks, telecom etc., it is almost impossible to conduct business without the use of information system as in present scenario, competition is on the top glance for every company. These organizations use the computer based or information technology based information system.
Information system benefits the organization in the following ways-
Globalization- An organization can expand its business even geographically by implementing information system as it helps in sharing information , knowledge or communicating easily.
Cost effectiveness and productivity- It improves the supply of information to decision makers. Operations becomes easier and thus ensure the efficiency and productivity.
