Cloud backup services are the services which provides cloud backup i.e. generally in organisations they take online backup of the systems and this online backup files will be sent to the server which are situated in the cloud or some other offshore location.
These offshore server will be maintained by the service providers or might be the company itself. Also there are seperate services for this cloud backup are existing they take online backup's continiously and they store it in the server specified. We can also say this as incremental backup because they take backup which are newly updated from the last backup only. And periodically they take full system backup.

By taking this backup and to send that backed up files they have some applications as specified like box.com,dropbox.com etc. They securly transfer these files through the internet.

The benefits of using this type of backup is it is very usefull when the time of disaster happens we can immediatly made the server available by recovering with this backup data with minimal effect of business.

Generally this requirements investemtns inorder to maintain these backup because the backup files are transferred daily to the system we need to have internet with high bandwidth also we to maintain securly.

There is risk involvind this type of backup maintainence we are simply putting our server backup and data into some other's hands this is anyway risk to the business.

The need of using cloud backup and recovery services of small business and home offices are inorder to maintain the backup we need seperate server and the people to maintain it. This also involves huge investment. Rather than investing to buy things it is easy to take the cloud backup and recovery services from the providers this involves less investment than maintainence of servers.
