What type of role does culture play currently within the organization?

All employees have significant role in culture play for organisation like Cisco. Being a market leader in various technology related product and service Cisco has placed their own cultural value towards the global. The streams especially Public relationship, Marketing and communication, Human Resource, Compliance have the major role in culture play of organisation. All regional leaders also have their own significant role in integrating various team members from different parts of the world.

What current cultural components enable innovation to successfully occur?

Cultural components like adapatability, mutual respect and commitment , understanding ethnicity and diminishing language barriers , ethical behavior etc can contribute to innovation in a team.

What cultural components require redesigning prior to innovation successfully occurring

Major cultural barriers for companys like Cisco is to manage with their global team. People from different educational background, cultural background has to work under a team for common objectives. Thus prior to innovation colloboraive effort, team buidilng efficiency etc has to be embedded in the organisation culture for getting the right result.

What strategies would you propose to the organization to strengthen the innovation culture?

Susggestion would be in the form of effectively use the online platforms for creating more interaction with public as well as employees within the organisation. Team bonding, cross cultural characteristics, postive outllok on challenging environment, women safety awareness and providing proper work life balance to the employees are very necessary for strengthening the innovation culture. Innovation can work only when colloborative effort is there from all employees, diminishing all ethnical barriers and mutual respect.

How will you effectively communicate this innovative structure to employees?

Communicate using intra communication channels including mobility services, internal blogs, social medias etc. They can also provide adequate training and development program to educate employees and to train them to interactive sessions and videos, roleplays etc.

How will you continue to build capacity for innovative thinking?

Cisco has a wide network of employees and capacity of innovative thinking is seamless. There are teams exlusively for idea promotion and working on exclusive roduct based on the individual idea. Cisco provide funds for them to fulfil their innovation on the business front and to create better visibility towards higher management. As Research and Development Cisco also track their employees innovativness through various score card and give them potential sugestions for better outlook and collecting insight out of their various learning curves.
