b) If you were designing a keyboard for a modern computer, and you wanted to produce a faster, easier to use layout, what information would you need to know and how would that influence the design? Suggest an appropriate layout.

a) Keyboard and Mouse is a basically input output unit of any Computer System , these are supported by Operating System.So Based on the design of keyboard it support various function , it may vary by design by design of keyboard.But in typical keyboard it support Alpha Numeric KeyStrokes.Apart from that Some keyboard come with additional Numeric keypad with other special keys indicating subtraction, Addition. Most keyboard also having functional keys each with special task , this task may vary based on the Operating System.Similarly with the help of mouse We can input information to computer. It just make easy the way we input .Mouse support scrollable type of input,Gaming related Input etc.for Most of the application these input Hardware are sufficent but we can not say for all application it works, Like for Scanning of a Document Scanner is required, For Inputting Voice Command Mike is required, Same way for smooth Gaming experiance JoyStick is Required.

B)Alternating Hands while Typing is the most desirable trait in the design of Keyboard. By Using this rule keyboard desiging of modern computer can be effective .While desining the keyboard layout the main information Should be keeping in mind that when one hand is typing a letter the other hand should be prepare for typing the next letter So that it will yield effective and time efficent design.Qwerty is one of the best layout ,its outcomes are very good.

C)JoyStick:-Joystick is very popular among gamers. it is used to control video games and it is having one or more Push buttons , the state of these buttons are read by computer .Today many joystick connect to the computer using USB port.A Typical joystick is having a base on which control buttons are mounted and it is also having vertical stem, which the user can move in any direction to control the object on the screen , so it gives a great experiance of Game.

TouchScreen:- it is also a Input output device.it is layerd on the top of the electrical visual display of Most of the modern Devices. Today Most of the smartphone brand offering touchscreen as a primary input option it is having inside keyboard so no hardware keyboard is required it enable the user to directly intreact the computer without using Mouse and other AVailable option. This input method is getting popularity in recent time.
