Quality of Design: The manufacturer of the car defines the quality standards for the car before manufacturing. The company will have a fixed set of standards to meet in order to make their product of superior quality. These standards are defined based on the requirements of the customers.

Quality of Conformance: When the car is fully manufactured, it checked for the fulfilment of the quality standards. Based on the % of attainment of those quality standards the quality of conformance is decided. If the car manufacturer has met all the design standards then the quality of conformance is outstanding and they have been successful in meeting the customer requirements.
