Question
Team-Based Performance Plans
In this kind of plan, not all the team members might contribute equally. There might be few participants who do all the work and some who do not. The big problem is that all members are appraised similarly irrespective of their individual efforts.
This plan can work best when all members are equally devoted for the task at hand and contribute accordingly.
The disadvantage is the lack of individual performance reviews which matter a lot considering worker motivation in measurable terms.
Gainsharing is a management system to encourage employees to work harder by offering them a share in the financial gain as a result of their added efforts.
