Question
Answer: I feel that I follow individual relativism. I often stick to my personal views and consider that what I think is right. I go by what I have learnt from my own experiences rather than what was told to me as a member of any group to which I belong. I identify myself with this type of view as my ethical system. I always consider ethical which fits into my frame of right and wrong. Like many people think that one should not work in self interest but I feel that one should look into his own interests rather than the others as one only control his action. There is a general feeling amongst many people that values from their own culture are the best but I believe that there are many universal values which are better than the cultural values. I take decisions based on my own perception of right or wrong.
Explanation / Answer
Identify your views, and discuss the type of relativism closest to it - 'Individual' or 'Cultural'. Give personal examples to show why you do or why you do not identify with one of the types of relativism, as your ethical system.
