1. Ensure there is enough space for billing desk, customer entry and exit, tables and chairs, standalone tables, space for easy movement to serve and clean, kitchen, dishwashing, food storage equipment, loading dock for raw materials, takeway counter etc.

2. Create a theme based on the local tastes of the consumers and design the interiors which include walls, lightings, wood work, glass work etc. centered around the theme. Few examples of themes include - cult movies(display of actors and scenes from cult movies), green theme(for healthy foods), music themes, collection of artefacts etc. This provides the required ambience for the consumers to walk-in.

3. Provide facilities like free wi-fi, playing music etc.

4. Decide on whether to have a cafeteria style where billing happens upfront and customers choose items from menu or restaurant style where customers first complete the meal and then pay the bill. Ideal case of fastfood restaurant is cafeteria style.

5. Coming to the most important and core product i.e. food, ensure the items that are listed on the menu are available always and served quick. Instead of having hundreds of options, it is better to go with a set of 30+ items with customizations as ordered. Ensure both quality and taste are maintained.

6. Pricing depends on multiple factors like cost of preparing the item and markup, spending ability of the customers in the area, competitor pricing, speciality of food item, ambience etc.
