I created a google form to evaluate team members based on certain questions. Each question has its own weightage. A google sheet was created to recond the responses. I have created a formula for the total, percentage, etc. I want to create a formula in order to automatically deduct marks from the total when I choose "N/A" instead of allloting any marks.(for example if the total evaluation is from 50 and I choose "N/A" for a question of 4 marks then those 4 marks will be automatically deducted from the total value. This makes the evaluation from 46 instead of 50).

Above is a snapshot of google sheet which you are trying to implement. Let us say we have 4 Questions(Q1,Q2,Q3,Q4) which we are trying to allocate marks to.We will list the total
available marks for each question a cell below every question code(Q1,Q2,Q3,Q4)/*Say (B2,C2,D2,E2) --- These are google sheet specefic cells*/.Let us say we are storing name of
students in column A of google sheet.(i.e A2,A3,A4,A5.....etc ) We will have a column Total(F in above google sheet) (which we will use to calculate Sum of Total Marks attained by every student.
We can Simpify Total(F2) = SUM(B2,C2,D2,E2)/*Google sheet formula*/ this formula will give total marks attainable for every student,if he/she answers each of the question.
There will be name and marks of attained by students in each of the question stored in a row of google sheet,( ex:Student in cell A3 will have marks allocated to him in cell (B3--Q1,C3--Q2,D3---Q3,E3---Q4) the above formula will deduct marks from total,if we list (NA) as the marks
obtained in any of questions.
To get marks allocated to student in A3 we will have total(F3)=SUM(B3,C3,D3,E3) /*It will deduct marks from total if any of the cell mentioned is N/A*/
