Let us discuss about releasing the software product.

Before releasing a software product the important thing which is to be done is software testing.

True that software testing is costly but if one ignores this process then they have to bear even more costly losses to the organization and business. Because testing is the only processes where a product is given an assurance of its working abilities with less/no faults that would be a show-stopper.

Whereas few organization ignore this fact and push the application to production which results in huge loss to the business. The codes have to be re-developed and several processes need to be re-worked upon which is an additional expense to the company.

The selection of the software testing process and test cases should be as per the application that has been developed for use.

Software testing contains some processes to be applied for:

1) Planning, 2) Implementation, 3) Accept for a test, 4) Checking the tests, 5) Verifying the fixes, 6) Conduct regression testing, 7) Acceptance testing and 8) Change request if any.
