Global Production Networks (GPN) is the concept which is used in the developmental literature and refers to the interconnected functions, operations and transactions by the particular service or product which are consumed, produced and distributed.

The key characteristics of network productions are as follows:

Network productions have high volume of flexible knowledge and information skills. With the help of personal networks, one can connect and interact from anywhere, at any time and by using any device. One can also expect the same simplicity and connectedness from the business network. There is elimination of the burden for business-to-business connectivity through the single, standard point of integration point which is better collaborated with every trading partners without any backend systems. There is connections scope from all systems, all functions and all companies and every industries.
