Students should select an organization (which you have access to) and work through the following subheadings relating to operations within the organization. Students should write a report (using the headings below as a guide) discussing the operations of the organization, and making recommendations for improvement.
I have suggested some subheadings to consider under each heading – but these are not exhaustive topics (and you may discuss other things you see as being important). I would advise that you adopt a reasonably formal style and structure for your report. Include conclusions. Students should note that they do not need to look at an entire company but instead may decide to focus on a particular business unit or operation. For example, the student wants to look at a large international company – but only has access to one part of the organization – this is perfectly acceptable

The organization that I have selected for preparing this report is Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.
Introduction:
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. Is a well known organization in the field of drug manufacturing firms. The organization functions across the world and drugs are imported to several countries across the map in order to provide quality health care drugs.
Importance of Operational planning:
As the Organizations major business is manufacturing of drugs, that are directly related to human health and well being. Operational planning holds its importance in order to reduce cost and improve the quality of drugs supplied. As the bottom line for every business is to increase the revenue. But in a business where human health is directly related to the product the quality of product cannot be compromised in front of profit, operational planning steps in for serving this purpose of revenue generation without compromising quality. Other purpose that operational planning serves in this organization include cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

It was determined that the quality is maintained in procedures and products that are manufactured by Sun Pharma. Procedures followed are clear, concise and logical. Any errors identified in the procedures are immediately resolved. And root cause analysis of issues is performed in order to avoid such situation in future. Also necessary corrective and preventive measures are taken in order to correct the errors.
Recommendations:
In order to maintain the quality and carry out operations it is recommended that timely documentation of every single activity must be done. Systems must be online in order to avoid data integrity.
