Can someone help. Im trying to figure out why the output file is giving me such a large number for the second column. This is a C program for a tridiagonal algoritm. Also im using Codepad to compile Could this be the issue?

it shows big values since you are using the type DOUble and performing the operations which results in a big value after performing the operations.you can use the type long and try it again.the code looks fine to me .try to compile with turbo c/c++.thats a better compiler and will give u the best results.
Turbo c is a 16bit compiler ... means it can access about 16bits of data at a time...
2)Turbo c is based upon 8086 microprocessor... and it can run on x86family....
3) Turbo c is derived from MS-DOS whereas GCC compiler which runs on linux..is a very good one as compared to Turbo C compile
4)Turbo C compiler is based upon MS DOS operating system.. which is a single process operating system.
Morever u have taken array size as 100.thats why it is dsplaying all the elements till 100. try to use a smaller size of array and check it.
