Explanation / Answer

The difference between personal morality and social ethics are

Personal morality- Certain ethics and principles that rule the life of an individual to move in the right path is called as personal morality.Personal morality is decided by every individual based on his conscience. It also includes various other factors like his basic education ,attitude and behaviour of his parents who are first teachers to an individual ,the school environment ,his friends, neighbours and various other elements in the life of the individual. Experience is another great teacher for an individual to learn morals.Nature teaches him many things which cannot be taught by any other aspect.personal morality also differs to each individual.

Social ethics can be considered as certain norms that is accepted by the society and human beings have to follow it to make life disciplined and happy. Individual should see that he is socially responsible and never does actions that are harmful to another individual or the society in general. It is the major difference to understand between the right and the wrong and to avoid doing wrkng.Social ethics is also a limit or understanding of how an individual should behave in the society so that he gains respect from others.

2.Simple situations or examples can be taken to understand the difference between accepted social policy and personal ethics.

1.A person is following vegetarianism. He considers killing of animals for food is a sin and so he avoids eating animals. That is a decision taken according to his personal conscious and his personal ethics. No one can compel him to do otherwise.

On the other hand non vegetarians are accepted and acclaimed through out the world.Non vegetarians believe that certain animals are created as good for other species including human beings. It includes the theory of evolution and they strongly believe that it is the nature of law to kill and eat animals.Rationally they keep forth several questions like how will all the animals be accommodated on earth if they are not consumed.Where will human beings go for search of food if all are vegetarian. So this is an accepted social policy and there is nothing wrong in following nature.
