Case facts: In this case, a burglar named Bob broke into the house of Vince. Bob stole a laptop and a flat screen TV. In addition to it, he also did significant damage to the Vince’s property. The police identified and caught Bob with the help of the images caught by the Vince’s state-of-art security system.

Conclusion: The civil case will be brought by Vince who is the victim. Vince would file civil case for the burglary done at his place along with the vandalism. In civil case, if the jury believes that Bob burgled Vince’s house, then monetary award will be provided to Vince such as restitution.

Contrary to this, the criminal action case will be brought by the state prosecutors or police. If the jury believes that Bob has burgled the house, then the outcome will be imprisonment for Bob.
