Conflict Management styles
Conflict management style that can be used by a senior manager in a global consulting company is collaborating and competing. Collaborating and competing can be used. Collaboration is important in an organization, so is competing. In a management consulting firm, if there are two groups with differing views on an issue, they may collaborate in a group and compete. The better piece of work will be chosen. If the manager is resolving a dispute within the team, collaboration is the best strategy. This is a win-win situation for both the members.
Situations in which assimilation strategy can be adopted
When an organization operates in countries across the world, assimilation strategy can be adopted. Teams will have to work using assimilation as the core principle that the firm follows as given that workers come from separate backgrounds and the organization will have to make sure that organizations working in a different country are able to work with others and they do not feel that others are seen as more a part of the organization than them.
