Purpose of Architecture : Computer Architecture is basically to define Instruction Set Architecture and Computer Organisation where instruction set architecture referred as ISA and is the low level software interface to the machine like assembly language and translate any programming language instruction into this language for the machine to understand it. It sits between hardware and software and act as an interface. Software include compiler, firmware, Operating system, application and hardware has instruction set proc, i/o system, datapath and control, digital design, circuit design, layout. Now coming to computer organisation, it is the way machine is implemented and has two major components high level organisation (memory system width, bus structure, CPU internal organisation etc) and hardware (Precise logic, circuit design etc.). And this is invisible to programmer.

4) Advantage of computer architecture is we can have in depth analysis and can figure out about the power consumption and performance and keep an check how to maintain low power consumption keeping performance adequate.
