Designing and construction of a new international airport shall require a lot of cross functionalists and each one of them has to work in a coordination to complete the project within the timeline.
Listing of stakeholders & responsibilities
1. Project Manger :
Project manager shall be required to prepare a project plan and to coordinate with all cross functional team members and to keep an eye on the overall project and to report the developments to the company chief. Project manager will also make use of project management software like Primavera and other ones so that online tracking of the project can be done.
2. Architect:
The work of the Architect will be to develop a blueprint design of the whole international airport at the pre determined location.
3. Civil Engineer:
Civil engineer shall be required to check the blue prints of the airport and further develop the team under him to complete the construction work at desired location.
4. Liaison officer:
Liaison officer shall coordinate the approval process of the airport design from the government agencies and shall fulfill all the required document formalities required in the project.
5. Chief Contractor:
The work of the chief contractor will be to arrange all the labour required for civil and other work and closely work with the civil engineer and project manager.
6. HR & Admin. officer:
Human resource officer shall recuit for the all specified positions required to work at international airport and shall work according to the other stakeholders need. Administrator shall oversee all the day to day activities which require overall supervision at airport.
7. Airlines:
All major public and private airlines shall be contacted so that upon successful completion of international airport project airlines can start providing services to their customers.
8. Security:
Security at the airport shall be required to comply with all security and government norms at the airport while providing services to the customers.
For the successful completion of construction work civil engineer has to coordinate with the project manager and also with the liaison officer because construction of airport shall require a lot of official formalities and government interference since these are the influencers in the project.
Chief of the company and project manager are the main decision makers in this project. They have to take right decision at right time so that project shall run according to the plan.
Different airlines and service providers shall be early adopters who shall be interested in starting their flight services from the new international airport and generate revenues.
Most of the stakeholders in the project as described above shall be cooperative because most of them shall be benefited with the project.
Government officials and politicians may be pockets of resistance to the project since it required a lot of formalities and paperwork and to comply with all the national and international flying requirement.
