Consumer decision making process -when consumer observe need of particular commodity, then he identify its source nearby his vicinity and he takes decision according to his past experience or information gathered from different resources. theoretically  decision making process passed through following four stages.

Stage 1- Problem/ need recognition

Stage 2- Information search

Stage 3-Evaluation of alternative

Stage 4-Purchase decision

Stage 5- post purchase behavior

In more dept Stage 4 purchase decision is highly influence according to past experience & feature attach to product.

When costumer identify need of particular product which is of regular consumption purpose then he observe his level of satisfaction that he received from earlier experience. If he find his earlier experience was wrathful then he avoid any change for decision of particular product. If his earlier experience is dissatisfy then he search for alternative product or service. and while searching alternative option he ever finds the product which is with updated feature.

Example - consumer while purchase food items and during purchase of durable electronic good follow different behavior. Regarding food item he do not spent lots time as most of item is well known, but while purchase electronic good he minutely observe feature as well post sale services available. Regarding purchase of mobile device he observe that handset available with minimum cost which was earlier available in high cost. Thus while purchasing electronic goods he observe particular brand for getting expected service.
