I need to design a simple computer model in vhdl.I have done the rest of the given specifications below for the ALU and memory but I don't know what to do about indirectly fetching memory in vhdl.I am suppose to change the controller,ALU as well as memory.
b. Enhanced system: enhance the previous CPU architecture as follows: i. Add the next instructions in addition to the existing ones instructions 1. Integer multiplication. 2. Increment 3. Decrement. 4. Indirect fetch of memory (RF[rn] mem[RFIrnll) Hint: System modification will require changes to the controller, memory and ALU ii. Use the same benchmark program written for the reference system to benchmark this architecture. You should show the impact of the cache memory scheme in the performance of the architecture iii. Design an interface that enables to run your benchmark program in the DE2-115 boards used in the lab and debug the results. Hint. You can display the results using the seven-segment, LCD or VGA displays.
