Question 3-6:
Two or more communicable devices with media and protocols form a network and a collection of network forms internet.
In a computer networking to send data within a network physical address or MAC address of both source and destination devices is used.
To send data in different network IP address of both source and destination devices is used.
Protocols at different layers are implemented in order to incorporate functionalities of each layer in a layered architecture.
Different transmission media is used to transmit bits which in turn encoded into electrical or optical signals.
Security,Reliability and performance are major issues in networking.

Three major types of network are there:LAN(Local Area Network),WAN(Wide Area Network) and MAN(Metropolitan Area Network).
LAN: It is generally owned and hosts in a limited area mainly in any organization such as office or institute or maybe any building.It has limited size(KM).If any two devices are connected though a transmission media then they are said to form a LAN.
WAN: It provides wider area of network which may be a state,a country or even may be the world.The backbone of internet which connects ISPs(Internet Service Provider) is formed by WAN.WAN is categorised in two types:POINT-TO_POINT WAN which is used for a user who wants to connect to the internet using modem,and SWITCHED WAN which forms the backbone of internet to provide connection to the end users.
MAN: Its size is greater than LAN and less than WAN.It is normally used for area like small town or city to provide internet connection to the user through DSL line or cable TV network.

WWW(World Wide Web) is a Client-Server service which provides services of internet using Server.The client uses web browser to access or requests server.If the web pages stored in the server is required by client,the client sends a request through the web browser to the server.The server in turn finds the page and sends it to the client.
In other words it provides access to the resources of the internet.
It mainly uses HTTP protocol whereas the internet uses many other procols in different layer for data communication.
