In this, SSL isused for securing communications over a network. hence only the sender and receiver can access sensitive data.Let us discuss with small example suppose if we are shopping in any online site, during the checkout process our web browser is communicating with the server personal website’s server via SSL for securing personal information like bank details and transactions.

Generally in kerberos two way certification SSL server authentication mainly consists of two components:

1.server certificate: Server certificate is must inthe process of SSL communication.It is nothing but a digital certificate which contains basic information and a digital signature. It is used to properly identify the server.

2. Server address validation: Another one is Server address validation and it is an optional part of SSL server authentication. In this process the client validates the URL in the server certificate and the URL of the server are in fact identical.

These two components work together to establish trust between the client and the server. Hence the client is assured that he is communicating with the proper server.
