Explanation / Answer
Find an article in an IEEE or ACM journal about project management, read and summarize it, and give us your reactions to the article. Be sure to include a good citation to the article.
In this study, author discussed about integrated process and project management means and described several ways to achieve this integration like; a plan must be aligned and consistent with all attributes and elements, Dennis J. Frailey (2005).
There are few key elements in an integration planning which support to develop the foundation process and helpful to make a program success. An integral product must be accessible through common processes, tools, and enablers and should help an organization to design, test, build, deliver, and support products.
Also, an integral support infrastructure should support to deploy a plan, helpful in measurement, and improve the process that satisfy the overall objectives of the organization.
Further, author described through different diagrams and processes like; IPDP architecture that an organization can implement in its business need, Dennis J. Frailey (2005).
Furthermore, described how manager should think to apply different prospectives in the real work environment and how they can achieve the best results. Afterthat, he moved to discuss on IMP and IMS importance in integration process which define the need of integration for the organization and how to deploy in a work process.
Moroever, he concentrated on CMMI need for stakeholders decision and identify different types of stakeholders responsibility and authority in integration process, Dennis J. Frailey (2005).
So, overall, I can say, he defined the CMMI disciplines and standards need for the integration of project and process management in an organziation.
What do you propose to do in case one or more members of your group make no significant contributions to your project. Note that reasonable ideas may be used in determining project grades!
As discussed in above article, I would record each member’s performance and set the criteria for each one and in case, if there is a member that doesn’t meet its accountability, responsibility, and authority then sure go ahead to take support in his work from other team member (other team member can help wherever required and they both would work in parallel structure to support each other). Later, in case, if still first member found less capable then can replace with a new member and it wouldn’t affect the work since second member know the work and would be able to train the new aspirant for the work, Dennis J. Frailey (2005).
Describe some problems that might arise in a group project and suggest one or more strategies for dealing with those problems.
Team conflict is very common problem in group project where its difficult to meet the each members thinking and many times it has been noticed, they start argue or fight with each other. For avoiding such kind of typical situation, team leads or manager must schedule regularl meeting with each individual member to know; how’s everything going on and discuss their issues if any and suggest them accordingly. Addtionally, there should be daily scrum meeting as well as proper requirements and job assignment for each individually so that they could less interupt in others work except to suggest in scrum meeting, Dennis J. Frailey (2005)
