As technology continues to converge our emotions and perceptions of media also converges. These connections between emotions and perception of media continues to be discussed when it comes to technology.
Since smartphones and tablets have started to develop people have started to get emotionally involved in that digital world and the way they view the world also changes. They see the world as a place to communicate and create identity that can create more problems.
The social media allows them to post their pictures, share the news which is more than what they need. Since a person can stream video, watch movies or their favourite shows they are even willling to pay highy monthy fees or bills to view their favourite shows when ever or where ever they want. They are emotionally getting too involved as the technology is converging.
But getting too emotionally involved is effecting the various age group people. Kids spend their most of the time in electronic devices. They are glued to their phones because of which they dont understand what is good and what is wrong for them.They tend to block out the physical environment around them. Therefore the emotional connections with media convergence has both good and bad effects.
Media convergence changes the business approach to media too. As technology has advanced, so have the worlds of advertising, marketing, branding, PR, public affairs, content, publishing and business strategy.
Businesses throughout the world are discovering that convergence is becoming a key business model that will help them to stay focused and as profitable as possible without compromising on quality. Convergence is key for the firms who wish to remain profitable and successful. Convergence is also about excellence and creating quality while looking ahead for a better product.
