Answer) Windows has become the most common operating system in the computer's world. Most of the people prefer using windows in their system as it is user friendly, easy to use and understand. With the time, changes come in people's life and the same goes for windows. Various updates come at regular interval of times to overcome the errors, the bugs and some other faults in the previous versions of the same software.
The reasons to keep your windows software updated are :
Well, there are certain times when I forgot to update one of my softwares i.e. Windows Defender, and it failed to detect 1-2 viruses present in the system, because those can be tracked by the latest update only. After the completion of update, those get detected and removed from the system. So, to prevent such things in future, I have kept the auto updates on for certain important softwares in my system. So that they can get updated whenever a new update arrives.
No, this phenomenon is not just windows specific. The other operating systems also have various versions of sotwares installed in them and they are also prone to such risks. Therefore the softwares in each and evert system should be kept updated.
