Analyse three compatibility features that Shamima would need to consider when choosing the type of memory for her computer. Shamima's laptop has two memory bank slots, and currently there is a 1 Gig PC3- 6400 stick, and the motherboard speed can process up to 800MHz. Which of the following memory sticks would you recommend Shamima to purchase? Explanation / Answer

The reason for increasing speed when we insert a suitable RAM is it increases speed of communication between RAM and the processor

(for example we have a high speed Processor and low speed Ram. In this case RAM sends data slowely to processor, even though the processor is faster it has to wait for data from RAM because the RAM is slow. So if we have a high speed RAM and High speed processor the communication will be much faster)

You mentioned the Process speed (Mother board speed) is 800MHz

800MHz speed mother board supports PC3-12800 , PC3-10600, PC3-8500, PC3-6400

PC3-12800 is fastest among them.
