1. In your own words, list and describe the three well known categories of Cloud Computing.

2. Describe the differences between a Generation 1 and Generation 2 guest operating system.

3. In your own words, define Cloud Computing or Cloud Service and describe at least one application of it.

4. There are two types of Hypervisors. Describe the similarities and differences of the two along with an application of each identifying why one would be used over another.

5. The textbook briefly describes three different types of networks that can be created for a virtual switch. Identify what these are and describe an application of each.

Explanation / Answer

1. In your own words, list and describe the three well known categories of Cloud Computing.

The three well known categories of Cloud Computing are Saas,Iass and Paas.

- The Saas provide users to interact primarily with the software hosted on the cloud and not the platform or infrastructure on which it runs.

- ANd The IaaS allows users to rent the infrastructure servers, data center space, and software.

- The PaaS allows the developers to create applications, collaborate on projects, and test application functionality without purchase or maintaining the infrastructure.

2. Describe the differences between a Generation 1 and Generation 2 guest operating system.

- The hyper V system is known as the Generation 1 system and Virtual Machines are known as the Generation 2 systems.

- The Generation 1 virtual machine are known as old paints because it has been used for a very long time.

- The Generation 2 system is very advanced one. And it has many good functionalities and it is very secure.

- In the Generation 1 system BIOS which doesn’t entirely describe like what it is or what it does.

- The Generation 2 hyper v systems has the BIOS which works very well, but it has a number of limitations.

- The Generation 1 system Hyper-V creates a digital BIOS that it attaches to all Generation 1 virtual machines.

- Here When we instruct Hyper-V to create a Generation 2 virtual machine then it uses a UEFI construct.

3. In your own words, define Cloud Computing or Cloud Service and describe at least one
application of it.

* Cloud Storage has better Usability: All cloud storage services has the ability to store and drag and drop the files in cloud storage.
IT is also compatable with the MAC and Personal computer folders.

* Cloud Storage has better Bandwidth: By using the bandwidth we can avoid email files and send a weblink to the customer or recipients
through by mails or email.

* Cloud Storage has better Accessibility: So via Internet connection we can Store files and we can also access them from anywhere.

* Cloud Storage has better Disaster Recovery: We can do emergency backup plan ready for disaster recovery by using cloud.

* Cloud Storage has better Cost Savings: By using cloud storage Businesses and organizations can often reduce annual operating costs.

4. There are two types of Hypervisors. Describe the similarities and differences of the two along with an application of each identifying why one would be used over another.

There are two types of hypervisors those are Type 1 and Type 2

- THe hypervisors which run directly on the system hardware are known as Type 1. Even In vendor literature the Type 1 hypervisors refer as a native or embedded hypervisors.

- The hypervisors run on a host operating system When the virtualization movement first began to take off is known as Type 2 hypervisors.
THe Type 2 hypervisors were most popular. In order to install it on a server the Administrators should buy the software.

- The Type 1 hypervisors has more popularity because of they are building the hypervisor into the firmware to provide more efficiency

- The Type 1 hypervisors provide higher performance, availability, and security than Type 2 hypervisors according to the IBM company.

5. The textbook briefly describes three different types of networks that can be created for a virtual switch. Identify what these are and describe an application of each.

There are three types of virtual network those are called as External, Internal and Private.

External

External virtual networks are used when we want to allow the communications between two systems

Virtual machine to virtual machine on the same physical server

Virtual machine to externally located servers and visa-versa

Virtual machine to parent partition and visa-versa

Internal

Internal virtual networks are used when we want to allow communications between

Virtual machine to virtual machine on the same physical server
Virtual machine to parent partition and visa-versa

Private

Private virtual networks are used when we want to allow communications between

Virtual machine to virtual machine on the same physical server
