WEB ASSIGNMENT ON TWO RESEARCH FIRMS-

Before answering the questions, let's just know about the RESEARCH FIRM. SO, that firm or company which helps to gather the data about any spepcific needs for other companies for a specific goal is called research firm. these firm research the market & audience on behalf of other companies. for example, research to increase the sale of the goods & services, survey to get the feedback about a particilar topic from audience etc.

from web i have taken the example of two types of market research firms-

1- SERVICES & TOOLS PROVIDED BY THESE TWO FIRMS-

This type of reserch firm provide the services to all kind of other companies by doing open market research. they do all kind of research on various topics like cutomer buying behavior towards any particular or different product, industry requirement analysis etc.then they sell these information reports to other companies at cost according to thier requirements. the tools used by these firm for market research are open market survey,brand positioning,strategy analysis etc,

CUSTOM MARKET RESEARCH FIRM

these type of research firms are involed in sort of niche market research.these market research firms do research according to your requirements that's why they are called custom market research firm.like if you want to know about how is your product doing in the market? then you can hire these firms for research in the market.the services provided by these firm by providing relevant data to specific topic & company can make decisions based on that. & the tools used by the company are team of specialist,technical knowledge,data reports,surveys etc.

According to me, company may decide to save the money and utilize its in-house team as opposed to one of these firms due to following reasons-

any one or all above cases may be the reasons to decide its in house team for market research instead of these firms.

4-Explain how the tools discussed in the lecture might enable more companies to complete their research internally-

as there is no information is given about the tools in the lecture. so i would try to answer this question in my language.

instead of hiring expensive market research firm, other companies can do its own market research interanlly if they use following methods or tools in efficient manner-

a- USE OF WEB SEARCH ENGINES- as everyone uses the internet but company can use this as an advantage to itself by researching about any topic, trends, demands etc in the market.

b- USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA- it has become the great platform for marketing research. what do you think these external firms get their data in the field. no, they gather most of thier research data from these social media sites like facebook, instagram, twitter etc. internal staff can do this also.

c- offline & online survey- internal staff of the company can do a survey with some questionnaires by face to face method(offline) or email them to customes(online). this method helps the company to get feedback from them
